Grandfather paradox....


Found this story in the current issue of Nature.
Started out to be an interesting read...but got lost towards the end :P
Somebody help!!

    hmmm.. padhhi, but I'm not sure I know exactly what he tried to say. I think the idea is that his grandfather's theory might've worked fine for grandfather, but not for the grandson and his kids, since in the new timeline he'd not have existed. So, he chose to kill him in the transition so that he stays frozen in a "spacetime limbo" or sorts without anything else in the universe having to change.

    Like I said, I have no idea if this is what it meant. But if it did, I can't say I liked it a lot..
