    Me and SS were chatting about this today... the slightly edited version of the transcript (without permission from SS, but perhaps it isn't needed here...)

    me: it'd have been pretty impressive had I seen it on indian TV for the first time.. I think that's how it is structured..
    you just see abhishek standing on a cliff and then jumping..
    clearly a very impressive shot
    so clearly a good movie's trailer

    SS: the pebble falling first

    me: but you dont see abhishek
    so you don't know which movie
    so you think "hmm.. which movie is this"
    then, he jumps, and out comes aish!

    SS: :D

    me: and you realize in a sudden flash... oh this is "Raavan"!!!!

    SS: :D
    u r like a little boy in Toys r Us!
    :D

    me: and right at the moment you realize this the screen turns black with "A Mani Ratnam movie"

    me: oh, no.. I am wrong!!!!
    it would work for most people, but not for
    me!!!!!
    they show "Madras Talkies" before he even jumps!!!!
    I'd have known right then!

    how cud they have erred this way!!

    me: I know!!

    me: so, it only works that way for the small set of people who know that Raavan is Aish's next movie but don't know what Madras Talkies is!!!
    not a very small set probably..:P

    SS: the larger set of ppl.. (me, me and me) don't even know that Ash is in Raavan.. or that Abhishek is in Raavan.. or that Mani Ratnam's movie is called Raavan

    SS: then they see the full trailer like objective human beings

    And there's a very small population (me, me, me :D ) who has been given all the information by the small set of population (Rahul :P) who (i don't know how) finds all about it the moment it's out.....and makes me super excited about it too!! Then I go about hopping excitedly to my other friends (who belong the group which hasn't heard of the movie, don't know what madras talkies is or why i am sooooooo excited about the music :P) and make them watch it too...... :)
