Ye muh aur masoor ki daal!

At the risk of seeming to have completely taken over the supposedly "team" blog, here is the result of my latest experiment in cooking. Masoor ki Daal (and daal chaaval).

not much to write home (or on blog) about, I know. But junta ki demand hai ki khaana banaana seekho to photo shoto bhi lo aur doosron ko dikhaao. :)

waise junta ki abhi demand kyun hai ki khana banana seekho... I mean itne saalo se seekha nahi tha kya? bread-pizza pe gujara ho raha tha kya?.....

  4. @Ashish, naheen seekha tha bhaai, naheen seekha tha... you'd be surprised how many options are still available that are neither pizza nor bread, that are vegetarian, and albeit expensive and unhealthy overall, can keep you alive and heavy for 7 years! :) :)

The only things that I had ever cooked before 2010 were egg bhurji, rajma and chhole. And that too maybe a total of 15 times. :)

However, in 2010, I have now cooked Kadhhi about 7-8 times.. aaloo pyaaj ki sabzi around 2-3 times.. aaloo + green onion + capsicum around 4-5 times.. and now moong and masoor ki daal.. :D :D

@SS, Pesc... thank you thank you.. :)

  5. Lagta hai demand karne wali junta jyada hi powerful hai... ;)... 2010 ka track record dekh ke lagta hai saal ke ant tak tum acche khase allround cook ban jaoge....

  6. There are pros and cons of being married to an absolute foodie :P
I think it was Rahul's inner desire of eating kadhhi which prompted him to learn the very basic and easiest method (laziest way of making edible kadhhi) of making some for himself :) I merely suggested that since he could now make kadhhi, why not try his hand at making some other stuff which is as easy or for that matter, even easier!! So began his cooking adventures.....which to his own surprise, have turned out quite well :)
I am happy that he does it out of "free will" :P and secretly glad ki I have back-up for some occasions :P :D though I still have to taste them... ;)

  7. this is true... had I been in any city where I could find Kadhhi in any indian restaurant, there was no way I'd have learned cooking while staying alone. Got completely frustrated after not getting Kaddhi for a whole year!
